As a fundamental part of its national mission to enhance corporate governance, the National Association of Corporate Directors warmly invites you to take part in an extraordinary event honoring outstanding directors from boards of public and private corporations and non-profit organizations in the Seattle-Northwest region.

This premier annual gathering recognizes leadership and accomplishment of corporate directors in the Northwest Region. The event is conducted by the only membership organization founded by and for corporate directors.

Join us on Thursday, April 24, 2008 at 6 pm for the Annual Director of the Year Awards event taking place at the Fairmont Olympic Hotel in Seattle. KOMO TV’s Steve Pool, Event Chair Scott Greenburg, and Special Guest Speaker Brian McAndrews join presenters Jim Ellis, Keith Grinstein, LeRoy Nosbaum, David McShea, and Bob Jaffe for a reception and entertainment dinner to honor this year’s award recipients.

The Seattle-Northwest Chapter of the NACD invites you to take this opportunity to submit nominations for its Third Annual NACD Director of the Year Awards event.

Director of the Year 2008 has been awarded in the following categories:

Jerry Grinstein

Lifetime Achievement: An independent director (retired or sitting) who has served on one or more corporate boards, with peer and community recognition for outstanding leadership, contributions and integrity at the highest levels over an extended career.

Richard P. Fox

Public Company: An independent director of a public company recognized for outstanding board service, contributions and leadership. Director should be recognized by peers and the business community as a role model in promoting high professional standards for board and director performance.

Enrique Godreau III

Private Company: An independent director of a private company recognized for outstanding board service, contributions and leadership. Director should be recognized by peers and the business community as a role model in promoting high professional standards for board and director performance.

Board of Directors of Itron, Inc. 

Board of the Year:  A board of directors recognized by peers and the business community for extraordinary leadership and service through a time of corporate turmoil, transition, or extraordinary growth.

Sally Jewell

Not-for-Profit: An independent director of a not-for-profit organization recognized by peers and the business community for distinguished service and leadership. Director should be recognized as a role model in promoting high professional standards for board and director performance.
